Early boost from Pressley helps the Sugar Land Skeeters get past the Long Island Ducks, 4-1

Three first-inning runs helped the Sugar Land Skeeters (2-0) to a 4-1 win over the Long Island Ducks (0-2) at Constellation Field, Sugar Land on Friday.

A three-run home run by Josh Pressley delivered the runs in the first. The Sugar Land Skeeters had one hit in the inning. The 4th run came in the 3rd inning when Chase Lambin hit a solo home run to right field. Pressley racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Sugar Land Skeeters.

The Long Island Ducks managed just three hits off of the Sugar Land Skeeters' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out two during his five innings of work to earn his first win of the season.
