Moss helps the Sugar Land Skeeters down the Long Island Ducks 3-0

The Sugar Land Skeeters (1-0) beat the Long Island Ducks (0-1) 3-0 on Thursday at Constellation Field behind Steve Moss, who had two extra base hits. He doubled in the first innings, singled in the fourth inning, and homered in the sixth inning...missing the elusive cycle by a triple.

Matt Wright put together a nice outing. Wright gave up just two hits, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four during his five innings of work to earn his first win of the season. Jason Bergman gets his first save of the season as a Skeeter.

The Sugar Land Skeeters were sparked by Koby Clemens and Moss, who teamed up for four hits and three RBIs...each with their first home runs of the young season.

The Skeeters record is now 1-0...with 169 games left in the regular season!
