Skeeters shutout again in Long Island

After a 7 hit shutout of the Skeeters last night, they looked to get on the board this evening against the Ducks. Kelvin Villa got the start for Sugar Land against Mike Loree for Long Island.
Have you ever heard the saying "Same song, second verse"? Well, that was the story for tonight's game for the Skeeters. The major difference in the 2 games thus far is that tonight, they only put up 3 hits over the entire game.

The first hit of the game for the Skeeters came in the 7th inning when Bubba Bell doubled to right field, his 29th double of the season, ending the no-hitter Mike Loree had going for the Ducks.

The second hit of the game for the Skeeters came in the 8th inning when Amadeo Zazueta singled to right field against the Duck's relief pitcher Jeremy Hill.

The third and final hit of the game for the Skeeters came in the 9th inning when Bubba Bell singled to right field off of the Duck's closer Armando Benitez.

Since I try to find the good in every game, I give the MVP of the game to Bubba Bell. He went 2 for 4 with a double & a single.

Hitting Streaks:
Bubba Bell (6)
Amadeo Zazueta (6)

With the loss tonight, the Skeeters fall to 2 games behind division leading Lancaster for the 2nd-half playoff spot and stay a game ahead of York.

The final game of the series is scheduled for 6:05pm local time.
