Sugar Land rallies late for a 2-1 victory...sweep the Long Island Ducks

After the Skeeters put on a hitting display in the first 3 games of the 4-game series, it took them until the 8th inning to record their first hit of the game against Long Island. Nick DeBarr and Jared Lansford combined for 7 shutout, perfect innings against the Skeeters.

In the 8th inning, Dustin Martin recorded the first Sugar Land hit with 1 out to end the no-hitter and perfect game. The Next batter, Koby Clemens, ended the shutout with 1 swing of the bat by blasting a 2-run homerun to take the lead 2-1.

Gary Majewski came in for Greg Aquino and sent the Ducks back to the pond, 3 up & 3 down, to earn his 2nd save of the year, securing Aquino his 1st win of the season.

The Skeeters now share the top spot in the Freedom Division with the Lancaster Barnstormers with a perfect 4-0 record!

The boys will now travel to visit the Somerset Patriots for a 3-game series before a 3-game rematch with the wounded Ducks.
