Ducks even Championship Series w/Barnstormers at 1-1...


The Long Island Ducks top the Lancaster Barnstormers in back-and-forth affair, 9-4

The Long Island Ducks (4-3) and the Lancaster Barnstormers (4-1) passed the lead back and forth five times on Thursday at Clipper Magazine, but in the end the Long Island Ducks pulled out a 9-4 win over the Lancaster Barnstormers.
The Long Island Ducks took the lead in the ninth inning and held on for the victory. Scored Ray NavarreteBrandon Sing and Lee Cruz and gave the Long Island Ducks the lead for good.
Dan Lyons racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Long Island Ducks. He singled in the fifth and sixth innings and doubled in the ninth inning.
Jared Lansford looked sharp on the mound. Lansford held the Lancaster Barnstormers hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.
Travis Denker was hot from the plate for the Lancaster Barnstormers. Denker went 2-4, drove in one and scored two runs. He homered in the fourth inning and singled in the sixth inning.
Tim Hamulack (0-1) took the loss for the Lancaster Barnstormers. He allowed six runs in two-thirds of an inning, walked none and struck out one.
