Steve Moss makes history in 6-3 win

Just 5 games to go! The Skeeters sent their ace, Jason Lane, to the mound in hopes of turning things around against the York Revolution pitcher Chris Cody.
It was game 1 all over again when Joe Thurston hit a 2-out, 1-run home run to give the Revs the early 1-0 lead in the 1st inning. The Skeeters, however, were able to get 2 runs and a spot in the Constellation record books. After Dionys Cesar singled, Steve Moss stepped up and smacked what looked like a triple to the gap but as he closed in on 3rd base, manager Gary Gaetti waved him around for the first ever INSIDE THE PARK HOME RUN!! The Skeeters had the 2-1 lead after the 1st inning and never looked back.

Dionys Cesar added a run in the 3rd inning with a lead off home run to give the Skeeters the 3-1 lead.

In the 5th inning, Steve Moss reached base with a lead off double. Josh Pressley then hit into a fielder's choice being thrown out at 1st base. Steve Moss advanced to 3rd on the play and after an error by the 3rd baseman, scored making it 4-1 Skeeters.

The Revs got 2 runs on a 2-out home run by Johan Limonta to make it 4-3 Skeeters but could get no closer.

Ofilio Castro hit a 2-run home run after Aaron Bates reached on a 1-out walk in the 7th inning to make it 6-3 Skeeters...which also was the final score. SKEETERS WIN!!!

The MVP of the game gets split 3 ways...going to Steve Moss, Dionys Cesar & Ofilio Castro. They combined for 7 hits in 13 at bats, 3 home runs and 5 RBI!

Hitting Streaks:
Aaron Bates (3)

Home Runs:
Steve Moss (9)
Ofilio Castro (3)
Dionys Cesar (3)

The 3rd game of the series is scheduled for 7:05pm Thursday night at Constellation Field.
