Bluefish complete comeback...win 5-4

The night started with 7,250 of your closest friends whooping it up...as it was Aggie Alumni night at Constellation Field. The pregame festivities included a visit from Reveille & the first pitch was thrown out by Kevin Sumlin, the new Aggie football head-coach. GIG 'EM AGGIES!!

Freedom division All-star Pedro Liriano took to the mound for the Skeeters while the Bluefish sent Gilbert De La Vara out to the mound.

The action was slow until the 3rd inning when the Skeeters sent 9 batters to the plate & put 3 runs on the board. Dominic Ramos (single) came in to score first off an Ofilio Castro single, then Miguel Negron (fielder's choice) & Ofilio Castro (single) came home to score after a Steve Moss single...3-0 Skeeters after 3 innings.

The game went back into a lull until the 6th inning when the Skeeters were able to add an insurance run when Dominic Ramos hit a triple, scoring Iggy Suarez (walk) to take the 4-0 lead.

The pitching for the Skeeters struggled in the top of the 7th inning and the Bluefish scored 3 runs, with 2 outs in the inning, bringing the score to 4-3 Skeeters lead.

The Bluefish took the lead in the top of the 8th inning scoring 2 more runs on 2 hits and would eventually win the game 5-4.

My MVP of the game has to go to Dominic Ramos. He went 2-4, hit a triple, scored 1 run & had 1 RBI.

Hitting Streaks:
Bubba Bell (5)
Dominic Ramos (5)
Josh Pressley (3)

After the game was complete, the fans were allowed down onto the field for a concert event with Roger Creager, a Texas country music artist. Fun was had by all...and all fun was accompanied by BEER!!!

The 3rd game of the series is scheduled for a 7:05pm local time start.
