7th inning comeback seals win

Riding a 2-game win streak over the Long Island Ducks, the Skeeters looked to keep it going in the first game against the Somerset Patriots. The Skeeters sent ace-pitcher Bobby Livingston to the mound to face off against Doug Arguello for the Patriots.
Sugar Land got on the board first with a Dominic Ramos lead-off home run in the top of the 1st but the Patriots got that run plus another back to take the 2-1 lead after 1 inning.

The Patriots took the 3-1 lead on 2 hits in the bottom of the 2nd inning.

Another 2 hits helped add another run to the Patriots lead in the bottom of the 3rd inning to take the 4-1 lead.

The score stayed 4-1 Patriots until the top of the 7th inning. That is when Amadeo Zazueta hit a 3-run home run with Steve Moss (walk) & Octavio Martinez (fielder's choice) on base to tie the game at 4-4. Dominic Ramos then hit a double to right field and scored on a 2-out single by Bubba Bell. The Skeeters took the 5-4 lead and never looked back. Jeff Farnsworth, Roberto Giron, and Gary Majewski combined to pitch the 7th, 8th, and 9th inning...SKEETERS WIN 5-4!!

My MVP(s) of the game are Amadeo Zazueta & Bubba Bell. They combined for 4 RBIs in the 7th inning to take the lead and win the game.

The Skeeters are now 6-4 in the 2nd half of the season, and tied with Lancaster for 1st place in the division.

These 2 teams will play a day / night double header Tuesday with the first game scheduled for 10:05am local time, and the second game scheduled for 6:05pm local time.
