Skeeters get one in the WIN column

After a tough road trip, the Skeeters came home to face the Camden Riversharks for 6 games. First pitcher on the mound for the home team was Bobby Livingston. He would face off against Keith Weiser for Camden.

Both teams lead off with a triple, Dominic Ramos getting the 3-bagger for the Skeeters. Both teams scored that runner as well making the score 1-1 after 1 inning.

Livingston gained control of the game through the 3rd inning and the hometown boys rewarded his efforts by adding 1 run, and just like in the 1st inning, Jason Lane was credited with the RBI...which was Ramos again. The score was 2-1 SL!

Livingston remained in control of the game and in the bottom of the 6th inning, the Skeeters added 2 more runs when Ofilio Castro & Steve Moss were able to score making the score 4-1 good guys.

Livingston gave a run back when Pedro Feliz hit a HR making the score 4-2...at which point Gaetti pulled Livingston in favor of Eric Krebs. Krebs and Majewski combined to retire the side.

The Skeeters' batters were able to get the run back, making the score 5-2, when Jason Lane scored after hitting a double. The Riversharks added a run in the 8th inning but could not get any closer as Majewski earned another save, his 7th of the season...SKEETERS WIN 5-2!!!

Game 2 is scheduled for 7:05pm local time, Saturday.
