Ducks rally to advance to Championship game vs. Barnstormers



The Long Island Ducks defeat the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs after late game two-run home run, 5-4

After five lead changes in Sunday's game at Bethpage Ballpark, the Long Island Ducks (3-2) finally pulled out a 5-4 win over the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs (2-3).
The Long Island Ducks held off the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs, as the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs were unable to overcome a two-run eighth inning deficit.
The Southern Maryland Blue Crabs scored one run in the ninth on an error. Despite their efforts, the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs couldn't finish the comeback.
Brandon Sing racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Long Island Ducks. He homered in the fourth inning.
Matt Way brought the heat against the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs during his outing. Way held the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs hitless over one inning, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.
Ben Moore was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just 2 2/3 innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
