Comeback = 1st place in division!

Game 3 of this 4 game series against the Camden Riversharks took all 9 innings...plus 1 to figure out the winner. Kelvin Villa got the start for the Skeeters while Eddy Camacho tossed for the Riversharks.
The Skeeters got on the board first with a Josh Pressley 1-run home run in the bottom of the 2 nd inning...1-0 Skeeters.

The Riversharks were held scoreless by Villa but in the top of the 5th inning, Sean Morgan came in and the Riversharks took advantage. Morgan recorded just 1 out while giving up 2 runs on a 1-run home run, a walk, 2 singles , and 2 wild pitches. Jeff Farnsworth came in to retire the side...2-1 Riversharks after 5 innings.

The game cruised along until the top of the 7th inning when Farnsworth gave up 4 singles in a row and threw in a walk for good measure to give the Riversharks 2 more runs, all with 1 out, before being replaced by Garrett Parcell to retire the side...4-1 Riversharks after 7 innings.

In the 8th inning, the Riversharks added another run with a lead off home run to make the score 5-1. The Skeeters then decided something needed to happen...and made it happen. They sent 10 batters to the plate, scoring 4 runs to tie the game at 5-5. Octavio Martinez (single) & Dominic Ramos (hit by pitch) scored on a Bubba Bell double. Ofilio Castro (reached on error) scored when Josh Pressley was walked with the bases loaded, and Bubba Bell scored on an Aaron Bates walk while the bases were loaded. Once again, 5-5 score tied after 8 innings.

Gary Majewski came in for the 9th & 10th inning and got the job done. The 10th inning, however, could have been very bad as he had the bases loaded with 1 out, but he worked out of the jam to keep it 5-5.

In the 10th inning, with 2 outs, Aaron Bates stepped up and busted a triple to give the Skeeters a chance. Steve Moss was the intentionally walked to get to Iggy Suarez. Iggy took the challenge and delivered a single...scoring Bates from 3rd base to end the game. SKEETERS WIN 6-5!!!

My MVP of the game, obviously, is Iggy Suarez. He went 2 for 5 with 2 singles and the game winning RBI in the bottom of the 10th inning.

Hitting Streaks:
Ofilio Castro (5)
Bubba Bell (4)
Josh Pressley (4)
Iggy Suarez (4)
Steve Moss (2)

Home Runs:
Josh Pressley (11)

The division leading Lancaster Barnstormers played a double header against the York Revolution...and lost both games! With this Skeeters come-from-behind win, they are now in FIRST PLACE, by percentage points, in the Freedom Division for the 2nd half playoff spot.

The final game of the series against Camden is scheduled for Sunday at 6:05pm.
